iDrive Software Flash & Apple CarPlay Packages

This solution is designed for vehicles with NBTevo iDrive 5 systems which need a software update to enable fullscreen Apple CarPlay functionality. To check if you need a software update to enable fullscreen CarPlay please follow these steps:

Go to "Navigation" > "Map" > Press the Options button > Select "Navigation settings" > Navigate down to "Position and Version" > Select "Version Information". If your firmware starts with a letter of the alphabet before 'N' e.g NBTevo_H then you will need this update to allow fullscreen CarPlay compatibility.

Purchase Procedure

• Submit the order and include your vehicle VIN in the order notes. Orders with no VIN will be delayed as we require this to setup the activation files for the car. 
• For mail-in services we require you to post your vehicles head unit & display screen to us - this service includes postage costs and we will forward a postage slip to you. We then flash the latest iDrive 6 software update, activate fullscreen Apple CarPlay & fit an OEM WiFi antenna (if purchased). The unit will then be sent back to you and will be plug & play once received. Lead time on return is 1-2 days and the car will still run fine while the unit is removed. Removal/installation is simple and only requires a trim removal tool and a T20 screwdriver.
