How it works

This is a mail-in service. Remove your head unit, post it to us, and we return it fully upgraded typically the same day we receive it.

  1. Place your order: once payment is confirmed, we will send you shipping instructions and a label.
  2. Remove and send your head unit: removal is a straightforward DIY process requiring only a trim removal tool and a T20 screwdriver. Your car will run without warnings while the unit is out.
  3. We carry out the upgrade: we flash the iDrive 6 software, activate fullscreen wireless CarPlay and fit an OEM WiFi antenna on our bench. This is typically completed the same day we receive it.
  4. We return it to you: your upgraded unit is sent back via guaranteed next-day delivery. Simply refit and you are ready to go.

Typical turnaround is same day once received, returned via guaranteed next-day delivery.

Compatible vehicles

Designed for BMW models from 2014 to 2016 equipped with NBTevo iDrive 4 and the Professional Media option (609). Some vehicles from this period may be fitted with the older NBT system, which is not compatible with this upgrade.
